La edición de este año de Billboard Women in Music contó con un programa repleto en el que las voces de HUNTR/X (de KPop Demon Hunters), Tate McRae, Ella Langley y otras grandes figuras subieron al escenario del Hollywood Palladium en Los Ángeles el miércoles (29 de abril) para recibir galardones, ofrecer actuaciones espectaculares y mucho más.
La conductora Keke Palmer dio inicio a la ceremonia de 2026 con una interpretación de “Text Message Unsent” antes de adentrarse en el resto del espectáculo, en el que Zara Larsson recibió el galardón Breakthrough de manos de Tyla, y Coco Jones entregó a Mariah The Scientist el premio Honda Rising Star. A continuación, McRae recibió el título de Hitmaker de parte de Victoria Monét; posteriormente, Langley aceptó el premio Powerhouse de manos de Lainey Wilson, y Laufey fue honrada con el reconocimiento Innovator, presentado por Brandi Carlile.
Kehlani, Thalia y Taylor fueron las siguientes, llevándose a casa los premios Impact, Icon y Visionary, presentados por Ciara, Eva Longoria y Dionne Warwick, respectivamente. HUNTR/X cerró el espectáculo con una actuación cargada de energía del éxito de la banda sonora de K-Pop Demon Hunters, “Golden”, ganador del Oscar y No. 1 en la lista Billboard Hot 100. Momentos antes, las vocalistas del grupo femenino ficticio —EJAE, AUDREN NUNA y REI AMI— aceptaron colectivamente el codiciado galardón a la Mujer del Año.
Cada una de las homenajeadas de la noche interpretó también canciones durante el evento anul, el cual rinde homenaje a las mujeres del ámbito musical que han generado el mayor impacto a lo largo del año. Además de las famosas artistas que se congregaron en el Palladium en 2026, Beth Matthews, de ASCAP, fue reconocida como Ejecutiva del Año, premio que recibió de manos de Kim Petras.
