Karol G inició su muy esperada gira Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour en el Soldier Field de Chicago el viernes (24 de julio).
Si su histórico espectáculo en Coachella fue un indicativo, la superestrella colombiana trae un show conceptual que abarca perfectamente su universo Tropicoqueta: bailarinas de cabaret, plumas, piñas, flores, loros y mucho color naranja.
Para celebrar la gira mundial, Karol adelantó una nueva canción titulada “Matadora”, caracterizada por un sonido de perreo contundente y una letra que reivindica su sensualidad sin complejos. En un breve fragmento compartido en redes sociales — publicado en vísperas del concierto inaugural de la gira —, se la ve bailando al ritmo del reggaetón provocador.
Promovida por Live Nation, Karol estará acompañada por Becky G, Greeicy y Elena Rose en fechas selectas de su extensa gira.
“Fue superorgánico. Karol nos dio una invitación; para mí fue algo súper bonito”, Rose dijo previamente a Billboard. “Creo que tenemos ya varios años de una amistad valiosa donde obviamente tenemos unas vidas como bien agitadas las dos, pero siempre encontramos un momento para abrazarnos, para preguntarnos ahí cómo vamos”.
Tras la noche inaugural en Chicago, Karol saltará de estadio en estadio, incluyendo el SoFi Stadium en Los Ángeles, el MetLife Stadium en Nueva Jersey y el Hard Rock Stadium en Miami, antes de dirigirse a América Latina y luego a Europa, donde hará paradas en México, Argentina, Brasil, España, Inglaterra e Italia, entre otros países, a lo largo del resto de 2026 y principios de 2027.
La gira mundial apoya el más reciente álbum de Karol, Tropicoqueta, que debutó en el puesto No. 1 de la lista Top Latin Albums y en el No. 3 del Billboard 200 de todos los géneros. Además, las 20 canciones del álbum debutaron en la lista Hot Latin Songs, convirtiéndose en un hito para la cantante.
